Arcane Tinmen – dungeons, dragons and dazzling wizards

At Arcane Tinmen, we develop, sell and distribute the world-famous brand Dragon Shield – which consists of trading card and game accessories and digital services to gamers – to a community of passionate geeks from all over the world. And as the newest member of our company and our digitalisation transformation journey, a whole new world will open before your eyes once you enter our magical office in Lisbon, where you will share your days with 9 dedicated and nerdy colleagues. Our HQ is located in Brabrand, Denmark, and you will have 5-10 travelling days a year, visiting your Danish colleagues and attending conferences.

Ensure the whole infrastructure – from costs and reliability to security

As our new platform engineer, you will join our development team and work alongside 5 developer colleagues. The infrastructure for our card manager apps includes 8 apps and 4 websites, which are all running in Microsoft Azure. And as we have a fast-growing number of users, our costs are also increasing. Your goal will therefore be to reduce our costs with 20-30%, professionalising and optimising our development as well as our entire hosting environment. Doing so, you will:

• Implement and optimise processes for versioned build/test/release/monitor/plan for Azure API’s, Angular Web Portals, Android and iOS apps
• Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD tools in the team
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
• Ensure that our backups has been set up correctly and can be restored if needed
• Review, verify and validate the software code developed in development projects

You have probably already figured it out – we are geeks, and we are proud of it. We play Magic tournaments in our breaks, and when you start, we will give you a certificate specifying which dragon you are, accompanied by a matching mug. And no matter how many or few spells you have cast before, we would love you to play along with us.
A structured thinker with knowledge of infrastructure

• You have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree e.g. in computer science or IT
• You either have experience working as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
• You have worked with or have an interest in cyber security measures
• You have experience with working on infrastructure as a code as well as knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies and cloud services
• You preferably have experience with ClickUp – a plus, not a necessity
• You speak and write English and Portuguese
